POSITION SUMMARY:
Design and user experience (UX) are at the forefront of everything we do. The job of an Interaction Experience Designer is to envision how people experience our products and bring that vision to life in a way that feels inspired, refined and even magical. In an Interaction Experience Designer role, you’ll take on complex tasks and transform them into intuitive, accessible and easy-to-use designs for our movie loving audiences—from the first-time user to the sophisticated expert.

Achieving this goal requires collaboration with teams of Designers, Researchers, Engineers and Product Managers throughout the design process—from discovery and research to concept development, wireframes, and high-fidelity mocks spanning multiple platforms. You will be working from high-level requirements to define product design flows, interactions, and content strategies in collaboration with business leaders, engineers, product managers, and other interaction experience designers.

To be successful you must be a critical, inventive thinker with clear design chops, an excitement for understanding and using data, and an ability to communicate your ideas effectively. Being a big movie fan would be a big plus.

Responsibilities
• Design the UI architecture, interface, and interaction flow of new web and on-device software applications.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements, and provide creative, thoughtful solutions.
• Communicate the user experience at various stages of the design process with wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, mockups, and/or high-fidelity prototypes.
• Integrate user feedback and business requirements into ongoing product experience updates.
• Advocate for the prioritization of design centered changes, refinements, and improvements.
• Run the full experience design process for a project, from discovery and research through to concept development to wireframes to high-fidelity mocks.
• Work from high-level requirements and ask the right questions to gather all relevant information to guide design direction.
• Quickly iterate on multiple design explorations to arrive at a simple, but robust solution, accounting for complex requirements.
• Create user-centered designs by considering market analysis, customer feedback, and usability findings.
• Use business requirements and market research to assist in developing use cases, high-level requirements.
• Design the UI architecture, interface, and interaction flow of new web and on-device software applications.
• Work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders, in-person. Occasional travel may be required.

Minimum Qualifications
• 7+ years of experience in research and design for products on web, mobile, voice or emerging platforms.
• 5+ years of experience working in direct collaboration with product managers, front and back-end engineers, and business or editorial stakeholders.
• Ability to distill complex concepts and then quickly turn around rigorous flows and design concepts (e. g., sketches, wireframes, mockups) reflecting a range of simple, elegant, and technically-feasible options
• Mastery in fundamental visual, typographic, and interaction design disciplines and principles.
• Ability to lead and ideate products from scratch and improve features, all with a user-centered design process.
• Hands-on experience with a variety of user testing methodologies, including moderated usability testing, unmoderated usability testing, and surveys.
• Experience designing across multiple platforms.
• Experience working with or creating motion design language for both web and native app.
• Portfolio highlighting multiple projects that demonstrates experiences crafting usable digital interfaces.
• Experience designing with pattern libraries and/or design frameworks.
• Undergraduate degree from an accredited university.

Preferred Qualifications
• Entertainment or gaming experience strongly preferred.
• Skills in communicating and influencing product design strategy.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and familiarity with technical constraints and limitations as they apply to designing for platforms such as desktop and mobile (i.e. Android and iOS).
