Would you like to share your passion for sports programming with others? Are you a detailed person who enjoys being outside and supporting sports programs? Would you like to use your knowledge and skills to make an impact on local community partners while representing the YMCA?

As the Sports Program Coordinator, you will work with community partners to schedule and coordinate the use of the year round sports field. You will be responsible for scheduling use, collecting payment, communicating with various partners, and managing day to day activity on the field. You will work alongside our City partners to ensure readiness of the field for the scheduled activity as well as quality experience for those using the field. You will provide a quality experience focused on YMCA core values of Honesty, Respect, Responsibility and Caring.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3+ years of direct experience in program area.
  • 1+ year(s) coordinating people or activities, preferred.
  • Positive attitude and previous experience with varying ages and diverse populations.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and problem solving skills.
  • Knowledge of program specific safety and standards, latest trends and the ability to articulate and incorporate them.
  • CPR, First Aid, AED certifications.
  • Able and willing to complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on first day, and other online and in-person training as required.

Starting Rate: $16.13+ per hour, depending on qualifications

Hours:  Part time – Up to 25 hours per week
