JOB FAMILY DESCRIPTION Our Customer Service team is looking for a Billing Specialist with strong communication and organizational skills. The ideal candidate will have software subscription experience and would be highly detail-oriented and able to comfortably multitask, working with both internal teams and external customers. GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES - Process B2B customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Change subscriptions for existing customers when requested, including canceling or adding products to an existing subscription
- Monitor, investigate, and solve billing problems within Stripe
- Assist with financial close (monthly, quarterly, annually)
- Research client accounts when needed
- Frequently report and communicate with both customers and internally
- Identify areas to improve processes
- Work with team members and stakeholders to get improvements implemented
- Analyze data from many different sources to make data-driven decisions
- Ensure overall customer satisfaction
- Additional responsibilities, as assumed and assigned
EDUCATIONAL GUIDELINES Bachelor’s degree in accounting or the equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience. GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES - Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, with SQL and data visualization platform experience a plus
- Experience with Stipe, QuickBooks and Workday a plus
- Background in SAAS billing and accounting operations a plus
- Well-developed organizational skills
- Invoicing experience, SaaS invoicing experience preferred but not required
- Experience using a CRM System
- Experience working directly with Sales Executives and external clients
- Experience with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
- Able to handle multiple priorities effectively
- Detail-oriented, professional demeanor, positive attitude, and energetic
- Flexibility in using, or learning to use, different methods for tracking and conveying information such as Zendesk, Google docs, forums, chat, and email
- Forward-looking, flexible, creative, and proactive; takes initiative to solve problems
- Proficient with time management, meeting deadlines and detailed communications
- Ability to be strategic or tactical depending on the requirement of the situation
Accountant I Entry-level role into the job family. Performs tasks under the discretion of immediate supervision and has limited latitude for independent judgment. Semi-routine role with the majority of work covered by established procedures. Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and 0-2 years of related accounting experience or at least one (1) year of accounting related experience without an Accounting degree.
