Full-Time Social Worker (Family and Early Childhood Specialist)

ABOUT THE POSITION

We are seeking social workers, mental health professionals, and other early childhood practitioners to join our team to support families during their children’s critical first three years of life. During visits at our warm, welcoming Family Centers, our team develops long-term, meaningful relationships with parents and caregivers to talk through the challenges and joys of early parenthood and discuss their children’s development. Our team’s strengths-based approach supports parents raising children in these earliest years, increasing access to critical care and offering the surest opportunity for establishing a strong foundation in life.
Primary Responsibilities
Direct Family Practice – 75% of the role
- Engage parents and caregivers and their children to promote family growth and wellness
- Support families at quarterly sessions and communicate between visits as needed
- Connect families with community resources as needed
Administrative & Documentation – 10% of the role
- Maintain documentation in electronic family records
- Conduct visits with alignment to the Room to Grow curriculum
Alignment & Professional Development – 15% of the role
- Participate in team meetings for support and discussion around all aspects of practice and professional growth
- Continuously seek knowledge and best practices in the early childhood, child development, and parenting fields
Requirements
- A passion for the mission, vision, and Room to Grow core values of Integrity, Respect, Growth, Collaboration, Community, Inclusion
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized, resourceful, and solutions-oriented
- Adept at using technology and documenting in an electronic system
- Fluency in Spanish, Haitian Creole, or Chinese (including Mandarin and Cantonese) highly preferred
- Graduate degree or advanced experience in child development or related field preferred, e.g., MSW, MA
- State licensure preferred when applicable, e.g., LMSW, LCSW, LICSW, LMHC
