Full-Time Senior UX Designer
Job Description
Responsible for the UX design and development of a new product initiative for Black Knight’s Servicing Technologies division. Responsible for documentation, debugging, and support of the user interface to optimize an engaging user experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with other teams to gather requirements, create visualization concepts, high-fidelity mockups, and prototypes for clients
- Drives a DesignOps vision and maturation of an infrastructure to support professional practice for User Experience design and user research
- Determines the direction of user experience research and usability studies to optimize user experiences
- Leads the creation of user flows, annotated wireframes, and clickable prototypes which enable developers to build great user experiences
- Stays abreast of new and innovative trends in the information architecture discipline
- Collaborate with back-end development, visual design, product management, and customers
- Develop front-end user interfaces for Web-based, SaaS software, or digital solutions products, including mobile and web
- Code behaviors and functionality for current and future software applications using design specifications
- Develops process flows, wireframes, and prototypes to effectively conceptualize and communicate high-level design strategies
- Study user interactions for ease of use, value of the system, utility, efficiency in performing tasks, etc.
- Works on new user interface testing and participate in usability reviews
- Translate user needs and business requirements into features and functionality for web/mobile customer experiences
- May coach and mentor more junior level designers
- Performs other duties as required
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience
- Requires 12+ years of relevant experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to communicate concepts in a clear and compelling way to audiences of all levels of understanding and levels of seniority
- Skilled at rapid prototyping in Adobe Creative Suite or Invision whiteboards
- Proficiency in common wireframing tools
- Experience designing for mobile, tablet and desktop applications
- Experience creating a pattern library or design system
- Knowledge of front-end development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.js
- Knowledge of financial services, preferably mortgage industry
- Knowledge of relevant standards and best practices for design of modern, data-rich, and responsive applications
- Demonstrated skill of taking in complex data and designing UI/UX innovative data visualization to drive deeper insights
- End-to-end web application development experience
- Proven experience working in an agile development environment
- Strong understanding of design, usability, and research best practices
- Experience flexing between design strategy and planning and design execution
- Experience designing complex, data-intensive applications
- Remain current on user interface trends and programming techniques and suggest new tools and methods as necessary
- Proficient in design tools (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, InDesign, Visio, etc.)
- Ability to support multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
