Job Description
We are looking for a talented Test Cell Engineer to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Power Systems business unit in Seymour, IN.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
* Senior Level Manufacturing Engineering support for Engine Hot Test cells covering multiple product lines within the plant.
* There will be responsibility to support the Operations team by providing the tools and written processes to do the work.
* Leading/participating in quality, efficiency, and safety investigations/improvement projects.
* Must be capable and willing to work in cross functional teams with Operations, Quality, Materials, & HSE departments.
* Successful candidate will be working closely with Skilled Trades during repair and troubleshooting activities.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
* Looking for candidate with 4-6 years manufacturing / test cell / validation experience
* Applicants must have strong communication skills, be a self-starter
* Strong familiarity with diesel/gas engine operation/test a requirement
* Must have a desire to learn and grow in the role and willing to provide engineering mentoring for less experienced engineers, as well as direct supervision of hourly reports
* Troubleshooting test cell (complex system)
* Must be able to collaborate and solve engine / cell performance issues in conjunction with the Quality function, as well as mentor and teach same to others
* Good understanding of test cell programming (COMPTEK preferred), electrical and, mechanical systems as well as troubleshooting faults and failures of the same systems
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
