• We are looking for a talented Senior Software Application Engineer to join our team specializing in Cummins Electronics and Fuel Systems for our Component Business Segment in Columbus, IN.
Your impact will happen in these and other ways:
• This position will require leading Application Engineering customer care lane activities for software applications
• Lead Tools troubleshooting and root cause investigation using structured problem-solving methodology, writes test cases, perform software testing and coordinates field testing,
• Lead global customer forum discussions for tools and manage customer relationship with feedback sessions, facilitate tools training’s with end customers.
• Utilize software development skill sets in supporting development activities for tools customers.
• Maintains knowledge base on tools sharepoint sites and works with global support team to keep it updated on every new tool version release
Education, Licenses, Certifications
University, or equivalent bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other relevant technical disciplines is required. Post-graduate (Master’s) degree relevant to this discipline area may be required for select roles.
Experience
• Prior Senior or Lead Engineer equivalent work experience (4 plus years) in a relevant discipline area is required with a demonstrated track record of technical problem solving and quality decision making. Knowledge of MS Office tools is preferred
• Lead Tools troubleshooting and root cause investigation using structured problem-solving methodology, writes test cases, perform user acceptance testing, coordinating field testing,
• Lead global customer forum discussions for tools and manage customer relationship with feedback sessions, facilitate tools training’s with end customers.
• Represent Tools Application Engg / Licensing in software review forums/meetings. Utilize software development skill sets in supporting development activities for tools customers.
• Maintains knowledge base on tools sharepoint sites and works with global support team to keep it updated on every new tool version release
