Full-Time Senior Principal Software Engineer (Mobile)

TrueMotion is looking for an experienced, data-driven, and humble Senior Principal Software Engineer who wants to make an impact at a growing startup, and help save lives on the road.
Responsibilities:
- Guide, support and mentor junior developers on proper software development procedures and methods
- Solve complex technical problems and transform them into business solutions
- Lead code and design reviews
- Full stack design and development with a focus on maintainability, usability, scalability and performance
- Work with product managers to understand the future business direction with the goal of architecting the platform optimally
- Collaborate with other technical leads and stakeholders to develop project plans and participate in resource planning
- Provide required assistance and troubleshoot production. As needed, potentially subject to on call responsibilities
- Follow Companies development and operational standards and processes
- Complete any additional tasks as they arise
Qualifications:
- Masters degree/PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or Engineering preferred, with 12+ years of relevant software engineering experience
- Proven experience with development at scale — high throughput, low latency
- Fluency in one or more of Python, Ruby, Java or C++, with the desire to learn more
- Experience with Continuous deployment, and test-driven development (TDD)
- Must be fluent in Java. Knowledge of Rx Java, Kotlin, Cocoa Touch preferred
- Literacy in one or more of the following languages, C/C++, Swift, Objective-C, and/or Python required. Certification in various computer systems and languages preferred
- Experience consuming and/or designing REST APIs required
