We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Developer to work on the implementation, integration, and support of Oracle’s Customer Cloud Service (CCS), Customer to Meter (C2M), and Meter Data Management (MDM) solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong hands-on technical background in Oracle applications and deep understanding of utility billing, customer management, and smart metering technologies. This role also involves collaboration with cross-functional teams, including analysts, integration developers and functional leads to deliver solutions that support our utility operations as well as training junior developers into the technologies so that they can later lead them.
Work is performed under the general supervision of the Chief Information Officer.

Typical Tasks
- Solution Design: Define the design of complex system integrations, customizations, and enhancements for Oracle CCS, C2M, and MDM, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
- Technical Implementation: Hands-on role in the architecture, design, and development of CCS, C2M, and MDM solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry best practices.
- Project Management: Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely delivery of project milestones, and manage project scope, risks, and dependencies.
- Technical Guidance: Provide expert advice and troubleshooting support during implementation, go-live, and post-go-live phases, ensuring system stability and performance.
- Team Mentoring: Train a small team of junior developers so that they can eventually become active members of the technical team.
- System Integration: Manage and guide the integration of CCS, C2M, and MDM with other enterprise applications such as Customer Relationship Management (Salesforce), and Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI).
- Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, develop technical specifications, and ensure that solutions meet business needs.
- Vendor Management: Collaborate with Oracle and other third-party vendors to manage product updates, patches, and enhancements.
- Documentation: Ensure comprehensive technical documentation is developed and maintained for all solutions, integrations, and customizations.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Extensive Oracle Expertise:
- Deep knowledge of Oracle CCS, C2M, and MDM platforms (5+ years of hands-on experience)
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Utilities Application Framework (OUAF) and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
- System Integration Experience:
- Strong background in integrating Oracle CCS, C2M, and MDM with other enterprise applications, using Boomi or similar middleware platforms.
- Database and Development Skills:
- Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and other Oracle database technologies.
- Experience with Java, XML, SOAP, RESTful APIs, and Web Services.
- Utility Industry Knowledge:
- In-depth understanding of utility billing processes, customer management, and meter data management workflows, ideally within the energy or water utility sector.
- Project Leadership:
- Proven experience managing technical aspects of large-scale implementations in a leadership or senior technical role.
- Problem Solving and Troubleshooting:
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on performance optimization and system stability.
- Strong Communication Skills:
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and influence decision-making.
Minimum and Preferred Qualifications
Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, and with extensive experience in Cloud Technology and Team leadership.
- Extensive Cloud Technology Experience:
- Strong experience with cloud-based architecture and infrastructure, including Oracle Cloud.
- Extensive Team Leadership:
- Experience in training, mentoring and leading technical teams in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Oracle Certifications related to CCS, C2M, or MDM.
- Considerable experience with Smart Metering Technologies (e.g., AMI, AMR).
- Extensive familiarity with Agile or DevOps methodologies.
- Extensive experience working with Oracle Utility Billing Systems (CCS/C2M) in cloud environments.
- Considerable experience with Boomi or similar tool.
Requires drug testing and background check (which may include criminal check, education verification and credit history review) prior to employment.
Requires possession of a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
