We are looking for a talented Senior Manufacturing Engineer – Eaton Cummins Automated Transmission Technologies to join our team specializing in either Galesburg.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

* Leads the planning, designing, purchasing, and implementation of changes to the manufacturing equipment and systems while leading and co-leading teams.

* Leads the work for specific projects to create and implement all aspects of a manufacturing processes to ensure safety requirements, manufacturing goals, business goals, and product specifications are met.

* Leads by applying the knowledge or use of manufacturing principles and practices to improve manufacturing equipment and processes.

* Impacts the work by utilizing continuous improvement tools, following the Cummins standards, and leading the development of manufacturing standards and working methods.

* Leads the communications with and influences key external stakeholders, business leaders, and functional members.

* Works with internal and external resources on specific project assignments; and leads the advanced knowledge of manufacturing principles and practices as they are applied to Cummins. Maintains relationships and coaches key stakeholders.

 

Education, Licenses, Certifications

 

University, or equivalent degree required.

Experience

 

Intermediate level of relevant work experience (5 plus years) required.

* Determines the manufacturing processes required to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specification. Works with engineering to identify problems with product and performance; recommends solutions or enhancements.

* Plans and designs methods to improve efficiency in production; trains line employees on new processes and methods. Work to improve equipment availability and capability by utilizing continuous improvement tools and working cross functionally.

* Define manufacturing standard working methods. Supports capital acquisition and capacity planning and change control.

* Coaches and mentors less experienced Manufacturing Engineers.
