Job Description
We are looking for a talented Senior FCE Design Manager to join our team specializing in hydrogen fuel cell power systems technology for our #NewPower Business Unit in Mississauga, Ontario.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
* Responsible for the design, development and release of the fuel cell engine and components and integration of such into various vehicle platforms
* Lead a global team of designers that will collaborate on design development with customers and team members including creating 2/3D proposals; negotiating designs and engineering requirements to meet quality, feasibility, cost requirements
* Help shape and communicate a compelling near-term and long-term design strategy and vision
* Work closely with global, multidiscipline, cross-functional teams to manage and implement features into fuel cell engine products
* Build a focused and cohesive design team through effective communication and leadership
* Benchmark competitor designs; propose ways to increase competitiveness.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
* Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
* Experience with computer aided design using Solid Edge, Unigraphics or Solidworks.
* Five or more years’ battery or fuel cell system, subsystems, or component design experience
* Over 10 years of experience within the automotive industry, ideally OEM or Tier 1.
