Job Description

To strengthen our Legal Team, we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of: Sr Counsel – Immunology.  Our US HQ is located in Atlanta, GA, but this role can be a remote position.

As Senior Counsel, you will provide day-to-day legal support to the U.S. Immunology Patient Value Unit and its U.S. portfolio.  This role will provide legal support to all elements of the cross-functional teams responsible for launch and commercialization of U.S. Immunology brands and services. Responsibilities include but are not limited to providing legal advice and guidance on FDA regulatory matters, including promotion and advertising regulation, as well as anti-kickback and fraud & abuse considerations.  You will also proactively counsel and provide strategic advice to the marketing and sales organization within UCB’s Immunology business.

You will contribute by: 

• Proactively counseling and providing strategic advice to UCB’s U.S. Immunology business
• Providing legal advice and guidance on FDA regulatory matters, including promotion and advertising regulation, as well as anti-kickback and fraud & abuse considerations
• Preparing for new product launches
• Managing a portfolio of complex matters within a sub-unit of the U.S. Immunology business
• Negotiating and drafting documents for the U.S. Immunology business, including commercial agreements
• Advising on key business initiatives in market research, real world evidence, and medical medication/scientific congresses

Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills:
Minimum Qualifications:

• J.D. degree from an accredited US law school
• Member in good standing of a State Bar Association
• 7-10 years of experience with a focus in pharmaceutical/healthcare law or another highly regulated industry; preferably at both a law firm and in house

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional experience providing counsel to the pharmaceutical, medical device, or life sciences industry
• Ability to analyze complex legal issues and handle multiple, often complex projects simultaneously
• Demonstrated excellent teamwork, communication, and analytical skills
• Ideally having demonstrated knowledge of FDA regulatory and anti-kickback laws as well as a working knowledge of PDMA and privacy law considerations
• Ideally having demonstrated experience in commercial, healthcare, clinical, and/or pricing contracting
• Experience with biologic products and/or HUB support services is also desired
• If remote, willingness to travel periodically to our US HQ in Atlanta
