SENIOR COORDINATOR, INDUSTRY PROGRAMMING

Industry

Reporting to the Manager, Industry Conference, the Senior Coordinator, Industry Programming will work with a small Industry Programming team on the logistics and delivery of the Industry Conference.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Shall include but not be limited to: 

  • Act as primary point of contact for Industry Conference guests and moderators, leading formal invitation process, materials collection, and follow-up
  • Liaising with Film Office on the guest invitation process, and ensuring all guest materials are received
  • Liaising with Event Production team on venue logistics, including set-up and dressing
  • Working with Manager, Industry Conference on leading web and materials audit for Conference sessions and guests, ensuring accuracy of all content for digital and physical material delivery
  • Responsible for creating detailed and comprehensive database (Artifax) records for Industry Conference
  • Supervising Industry Conference volunteers
  • Greeting and hosting guest speakers and moderators, and introducing sessions during the Conference as needed
  • Provide a detailed postmortem report

RATE OF PAY:

  • $23.00/Hourly

TARGET CONTRACT DATES:

  • June 12, 2023 – September 29, 2023 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3 years of experience in the Canadian or international film industries
  • Experience in event production is an asset
  • Experience working with a film festival is an asset
  • Knowledge of Canadian and international film landscapes
  • Exceptionally strong administrative and organizational skills
  • Able to handle difficult situations and people with aplomb and grace 
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of other languages is an asset
  • Excellent computer skills, and experience with G Suite applications
  • Experience with Artifax is an asset
  • Adaptable to a flexible work schedule including some evenings and weekends
  • This position requires being in office on a regular basis
