Overview of the role

At DeepCrawl we are solving big data problems. We crawl absolutely huge websites, producing many terabytes of data and even more after we process it. We then apply queries at scale in order to provide world class insights to our customers who need to manage their SEO. You will be joining an experienced team of DevOps engineers to support, create, monitor and maintain infrastructure stacks across various development teams. These stacks range from big data, simple client facing websites to custom api’s running lambda behind the scenes. All created with IaC and all requiring their own custom CI/CD pipelines also built from the same IaC.

Our Stacks CI/CD stacks

CodeSource, CodeBuild & CodePipeline Infrastructure Stacks: EC2, ECS, Lambda, Docker, AWS CDK, S3, Athena, RDS, API Gateway, EMR etc.

What you’ll get to do 

● Collaborate with development teams to offer best in class DevOps solutions, set standards and help others in keeping them

● Work in the team that implements our AWS CDK IaC solutions

● Help design and develop IaC Stacks that the development teams can then maintain with your guidance and support

● Supporting migration of legacy applications

What you’ll bring 

● AWS Certified DevOps Engineer (Professional)

● Mastery of architecting solutions using AWS and its related infrastructure services

● Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integrations

● Experience in containerisation (Docker)

● Considerable experience and passion for designing and maintaining serverless stacks.

● Scripting and automation expertise (Python, Bash, NodeJS, etc.)

● Monitoring Master (Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch, Opsgenie)

● Experience with software development ideally using a language with static types

● Keen to help architect serverless event-driven infrastructure

We’d especially love it if you have

● Experience with AWS CloudFormation or AWS CDK

● Experience with CodeDeploy, CodeBuild and CodePipeline or similar

● Familiar with NodeJS (Typescript)

● Experience of Puppet

● Experience with centralised logging

● Server Hardening Experience
