About the role:
This hybrid role of Senior Accountant/Financial Analyst will act as a key member of the accounting and finance team with responsibility for financial planning & analysis, reporting, and accounting including (but not limited to): preparing and analyzing financial statements, analyzing budget vs actual variance, conducting monthly reviews with department leads, supporting the annual budgeting process, preparing monthly journal entries and month-end close responsibilities, performing G/L reconciliations, and supporting the annual audit and tax returns.
In this role you will:
Financial Analyst Responsibilities
- Maintain monthly forecast, updating monthly for actual results and integrating changes in assumptions. Model different scenarios for management review and track key indicators.
- Analyze and review month end financial reporting for variances to budget. Establish a cadence to review expenses with department leads during month-end and review upcoming projection for accuracy.
- Prepare month-end analysis to support the leadership team in understanding performance and trends.
- Leverage business relationships with department leads and understanding of business initiatives to support development of the annual budget.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and analyses for quarterly investor presentations.
General Ledger (G/L) Responsibilities
- Prepare and record non-recurring journal entries and review entries and coding made by Accounting Technician and complete other duties according to month-end closing schedule.
- Reconcile G/L and bank accounts daily, timely investigating and correcting any variances.
- Perform monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
- Serve as primary owner of accounting systems (and their integration) including Bill.com, Quickbooks, Avalara, Expensify.
- Assist the CFO in preparing support and schedules for the annual audit (GAAP) and tax returns. Ensure timely filing of sales tax returns.
- Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures.
- Prepare covenant compliance calculations and documentation quarterly.
- Provide cross-functional support to the team, as needed, including serving as back-up to the Accounting Technician.

What you bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred but not required)
- 3+ years of accounting experience in industry or public accounting
- Intermediate to advanced level Excel skills (i.e. vlookups, sumif, pivot tables)
- Experience in SAAS (software-as-a-service) companies (preferred)
- Ability to self-direct, always ready to jump in anywhere, and have the ability to work independently through problems to find new solutions
- A strong work ethic with a sense of urgency and motivation to accomplish the team’s goals
- Enthusiasm to wear several hats, change directions as needed, and gain new experiences as both accountant and analyst
Role Location: Due to COVID-19, all CampMinder employees are working from home for the foreseeable future. We ask that you have a reliable, high-speed internet connection and be available during standard business hours. In the event we reopen the office in some capacity, you will need to live within reasonable commuting distance from the office in Boulder, Colorado and be willing to work on-site 2+ days per week.

Compensation:
Our target hiring range is $72,000 – $90,000. Actual compensation will be commensurate with experience, skills and education.
