School Counsellor – Cardinal Newman School
Hove, East Sussex, UK
Fixed Term for 1 year (with the likelihood of extension)
23 Hours per week
Term time only
£30,120 per annum (pro rata)
YMCA Dialogue is a BACP Accredited service, providing counselling services in schools since 1994. Dialogue has built an excellent reputation with schools, professionals and commissioners and the service has developed and expanded over the years, now operating across Brighton & Hove, East and West Sussex, and Surrey.
We are recruiting a School Counsellor to provide an ethical counselling service to students at Cardinal Newman Catholic School & Sixth Form College.
Dialogue have worked with Cardinal Newman School for 23 years and the counselling provision is valued and well established. We are seeking candidates who value team working, believe in making a difference to the lives of the children and young people they work with, and who can bring passion and professionalism to this post.
Applicants must be experienced in counselling young people (age 11-18), be a qualified counsellors/therapists and be BACP Registered or registered with another recognised professional body (e.g., HPC, UKCP).
You must be available for School Wellbeing Team meetings on Mondays from 3-4.30pm. Working pattern to be discussed with the school (Friday cannot be a working day).
