Location: 22 Adelaide Street West, Toronto (currently working remotely but will need to commute to the office when it reopens)

Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Senior Sales Director, the Sales Assistant will provide support for the Costco sales team, help create and maintain print and online catalogues for Edelweiss and BookManager, and implement operational sales support for Usborne.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Costco Sales Support (50%)
o Assist in the creation of bi-monthly buying grids (adult, mass market, kids and online)
o Maintain confirmed main buying grid
o Request and approve spec sheets
o Attend weekly meetings with HCC team, MONTAGE, WHS
o Support with title presentation at Costco H/O
o Assist with the Costco ad-coordinate with marketing
• Edelweiss (15%)
o Assist in the building of seasonal Edelweiss catalogues and launch catalogues
o Audit images and bibliographic data as needed
• Usborne support (20%)
o Update Usborne comp list in grid for Usborne salesperson each season
o Placing orders for Usborne product: Look at history of titles in SPS, recommend stockups to Usborne contacts
o Recoding Usborne product as necessary
o Placing orders for Usborne reprints
o Initiate loading process for Usborne data
o Tag enhanced content for Usborne ONIX (created by US metadata analyst using JDE)
• BookManager (15%)
o Create seasonal BookManager catalogues
o Update Add-On catalogues
o Upload cover and interior images seasonally and on request
o Audit images and bibliographic data
o Serve as BookManager contact for troubleshooting
o Liaise with Nadeena Hussain and Hugh Davidson to troubleshoot data discrepancies for Pubstock
Qualifications:
• 1 – 3 years of experience in publishing
• Post-secondary education in a related field
• Publishing Program Certificate would be an asset
• Knowledge of Canadian publishing industry
• Attention to detail
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
• Creativity, enthusiasm, and a love of books
• Able to multi-task, determine priorities, and remain cool under pressure
• Must have excellent phone and computer skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Must be results driven, and take appropriate steps to achieve goals while taking ownership of situations as needed
• Proven ability to deliver timely, accurate work product and demonstrate good follow up and follow through
