Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with technical support centers in South East Asia and East Africa, that provide program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.
We are seeking an outgoing and driven Sales and Business Development Associate to join our team in Virginia. In this role, you will focus on driving sales activities, attending networking events, and identifying new business opportunities. You will work closely with company leadership to connect with potential clients and expand our market presence. Your professionalism, excellent communication skills, and passion for client engagement will be key to your success in this dynamic position. This role is partially remote, offering flexibility in your work schedule, but you will be required to travel to meet with clients as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Drive sales efforts, including prospecting, client engagement, and relationship management.
- Represent the company at key networking events, conferences, and meetings to connect with potential clients and promote services.
- Partner with leadership and sales Team to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to potential clients, showcasing the value of our services.
- Build and manage a pipeline of prospective clients through networking and outreach.
- Build lasting relationships with prospective clients through effective communication.
- Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities that align with company goals.
- Provide regular updates and reports on business development activities to company leadership.
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Goal oriented, sales driven with passion for success
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Comfortable and flexible with routinely shifting demands and responsibilities
- A professional, polished appearance and confident demeanor
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills
- Previous experience in sales or business development is an advantage
- Can work 4-5 hours (Monday-Friday)
