Job Description:River Wildlife Technician Work Mode: Onsite Location: Kohler, WI Opportunity Do you love nature and the outdoors? Do you enjoy working with guests and assisting them with their outdoor hobbies? If so, the position of River Wildlife Assistant may be the perfect opportunity for you! Specific responsibilities include: - Maintaining the River Wildlife hiking/cross-country ski trails.
- Assist with dog care (feeding, exercising, bathing) and kennel maintenance.
- Responsible for releasing and dressing of birds in relation to scheduled hunts.
- Assist the Manager-Land Management, River Wildlife as deemed necessary.
- Operation of the trap and 5-stand sporting clays stations.
- Coordination of canoe and kayak launches along with transportation to these launch sites.
- Maintain the lawn areas around River Wildlife.
- Responsible for proper handling of all firearms by guests and members while on any of the gun ranges or hunt fields along with proper handling and maintenance of personal firearm.
This is a Part Time position shifts are primarily 8:00am – 4:00pm, weekdays & weekends. Skills/Requirements - High school diploma is required.
- Gun handling and safety skills along with a firearm safety certification is required.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record and meet the ongoing eligibility to operate a motor vehicle.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
