MOVEON REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

Project title: Social Media Management Firm for 2023-2024

 

Project begins: July 1, 2023

 

Budget: $17,500 / month for 1 year

 

Project length: This retainer agreement would begin July 1, 2023 and conclude June 30, 2024, at which point there will be an opportunity to extend.  Any hours given in a scope of work are an estimate and MoveOn does not guarantee a specific number of hours to its contractors.  

 

Project Overview: Provide MoveOn with Social Media Management services for our progressive brand to aid in daily publishing operations covering a range of issues both rapid response and extended time frames across our various social media platforms. 100% remote.

Scope of work:

 

  • Management of the social media programming schedule and publication for all of our active channels, including but not limited to, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Tiktok, YouTube, Vimeo, Reddit), 
  • Drafting social media copy for produced content and curating multiple social posts on a daily-basis while adhering to MoveOn’s publishing practices, editorial guidelines, commitment to equity, and staying on-brand and on-mission as directed by MoveOn’s Communications team.
  • Daily management and data entry of our existing publishing schedule, editorial calendar, and social media data  within our Airtable system.
  • Attend assigned weekly and/or daily meetings to be debriefed on new campaigns and messaging as necessary and agreed upon.
  • Be responsive for daily communication over Slack and email with Comms team members during our normal hours of operations (Monday – Friday // 8am – 8pm ET)
  • Be able to equitably provide social media publishing coverage during nights, weekends, and holidays as communicated and required by our managing staff member. 
  • Provide quarterly performance reports on each previous quarter’s social media posts and recommendations for optimizing our daily operations and efforts.
  • Work closely with MoveOn’s graphic design firm to ensure cohesiveness in brand story on all social channels.
  • Retainer for a dedicated number of hours per month for social media management services.
  • Engage in platform relevant community management best practices for social media post optimization, building and maintaining relationships with our audiences, and harm reduction. This includes moderating and engaging within comment sections of all posts, monitoring of DM boxes, and moderation of livestreams.
  • Support occasional content creation of social media graphics and vertical videos, following guidelines of the Social and Content Teams.
  • Perform A/B testing of social media posts when potential optimization opportunities arise with both copy  and content.

 

Works closely with: Social Media Director and Social MediaTeam.

The project manager will also work closely with key staff including the Comms Department.

Location: RFP is open to individuals/firms based in the contiguous U.S.  

Cost and availability: Include an estimate for hourly rate or project rate in your proposal and any limitations on your availability.

References: Past clients (3) that MoveOn may reach out to as references, with contact info.

 

Most-favorable terms:

  • MoveOn reserves the right to make an award without further discussion of the proposal submitted. Therefore, the proposal should be submitted initially on the most favorable terms that the vendor could propose. There will be no best-and-final-offer procedure. MoveOn does reserve the right to contact a vendor for clarification of its proposal.
  • The vendor should be prepared to accept this request for proposal for incorporation into a contract resulting from this request for proposal. Contract negotiations may incorporate some or the vendor’s entire proposal. It is understood that the proposal will become a part of the official procurement file on this matter without obligation to MoveOn.

 

No obligation to contract

This request for proposal does not obligate MoveOn to contract for services specified herein.

 

Rejection of proposals

MoveOn reserves the right at its sole discretion to reject any and all proposals received without penalty and not to issue a contract as a result of this request for proposal.
