Position Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of our store, manage staff, and ensure that our customers receive top-notch service. You will be responsible for a range of supervisory tasks, from training staff to handling customer issues, all while keeping our store running smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Staff Supervision: Supervise a team of 3-4 employees, including apprentices, stage hands, and the design team. Oversee office and volunteer staff, ensuring a cohesive and productive work environment.
- Hiring and Training: Lead the recruitment process and either train new staff or arrange for their training, ensuring they are well-equipped to meet our high standards.
- Financial Management: Authorize payments by cheque, manage cash flow, and oversee payroll administration.
- Inventory Management: Order merchandise, organize and maintain inventory, and ensure the availability of products that meet customer needs.
- Scheduling and Reporting: Establish work schedules, prepare detailed reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters.
- Customer Relations: Address and resolve any issues that arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages, to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Performance Management: Conduct regular performance reviews to assess and improve staff productivity and efficiency.
Requirements:
- Languages: Proficiency in English is required.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a supervisory or related role is required.
- Workplace Information: This position requires on-site work at our Lone Butte, BC location. Remote work is not an option.
