Job Description
DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are looking for a talented Research Engineer to join our team specializing in hydrogen fuel cell power systems technology for our #NewPower Business Unit in Mississauga, Ontario.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• Develop in-situ and advance diagnostic tools for the characterization of fuel cell and electrolyzers.
• Take initiatives in guiding fuel cell and electrolyzer diagnostics.
• Support the development of testing protocols and convert protocols in the executable script.
• Responsible for overseeing fuel cell and electrolyser test operations and maintenance of test stands as well as maintaining the standard operating procedure.
• Lead efforts in developing specifications, design, and modification of test stands to meet R&D requirements.
• Performs data processing and analyses using statistical and programming tools.
• Actively engage in patenting the novel ideas.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
• Master’s degree in Engineering or basic science.
• Mechanically inclined and hands-on experience in research lab.
• Knowledge of designing and assembling experimental systems, and instrumentation.
• Experience in electrochemical techniques such as CV, LSV, and EIS
• Direct experience in fuel cell or other zero-gap cells is highly preferred.
• Experience in either VBA Macros or MATLAB programming is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills
