DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are looking for a talented Engine Controls Engineer to join our team located in Columbus, IN!

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways
• Work to create project schedules, DVP&R’s, technical reports, as well as hold project planning and phase reviews.
• Investigate electronic application and systems problems, understands causal mechanisms, recommends appropriate action, owns problem resolution and documents results
• Applies and improves electronic application and systems development processes and tools. Processes include system specification, modelling and simulation, calibration, Design Verification Plan and Report (DVP&R), and troubleshooting.
• Obtains input and negotiates with product and software development teams and delivers control system designs, verified and calibrated software features and builds to product teams.
• Responsible for review of less-experienced developers/testers’ work to ensure robust, reusable, and efficient design.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
• College, university, or equivalent Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other relevant technical disciplines is required.
• Prior Senior or Lead Engineer equivalent work experience in a relevant discipline area is required with a demonstrated track record of technical problem solving and quality decision making.
• At least 3 years experience with Simulink
• Strong hands-on skills and understanding of the interface of calibration and controls with vehicle system hardware.
• Ability to understand and troubleshoot software code and calibration issues and then confirm those findings through actual vehicle testing.
• Ability to use test benches.
• Project leadership and management skills that can manage product and direct and teach other engineers when required.
• Strong communication skills with customers to update issue status, project updates, or to work through new feature details will be required.

Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
