We are looking for a highly experienced QA/QC Representative to join our team in Kentucky. This position is ideal for a seasoned professional with 10+ years of experience in construction management, field inspections, and quality assurance. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in complex construction operations, safety regulations, and contractor evaluation processes.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive on-site inspections and evaluate reports to ensure effectiveness and compliance.
- Inspect complex construction projects that require specialized technical expertise.
- Ensure contractor compliance with schedules, plans, specifications, and workmanship standards.
- Inspect materials, installations, and testing processes; identify deficiencies and propose alternative methods when necessary.
- Review contractor Quality Control Reports and perform Quality Assurance Inspections in compliance with USACE standards.
- Verify that materials and workmanship meet contract requirements during ongoing activities.
- Participate in preparatory and initial inspections; provide Quality Assurance Reports within 24 hours.
- Confirm site layouts, elevations, and QC requirements before work commences.
- Monitor deficiency tracking and ensure corrective actions are documented and effective.
- Maintain detailed records of deficiencies, field issues, and Requests for Information (RFIs) for project tracking purposes.
- Conduct shop inspections of off-site fabricated items to ensure compliance before delivery.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in construction management and field inspections.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing complex construction operations.
- Strong technical knowledge in construction scheduling, quality assurance, and safety compliance.
- Excellent analytical skills to assess contractor claims and performance.
- Proficiency in maintaining thorough documentation and reporting, including systems like USACE Resident Management System (RMS).
- CMAA Certification is a plus.
Core Expertise:
- Performing detailed field inspections to ensure workmanship meets plans and specifications.
- Interpreting plans, specifications, and reviewing as-built drawings.
- Reviewing contractor daily quality control reports for accuracy and deficiencies; performing quality assurance inspections.
- Familiarity with EM 385‐1‐1 (USACE Safety and Health Requirements Manual) and 29 CFR 1926 OSHA Construction Industry Regulations.
- Evaluating construction contractor claims for submission to the Contracting Officer, including identifying relevant drawings, specifications, and developing a chronology of correspondence and events.
