Job Description
StaffBuffalo is actively working with one of our established companies in Buffalo to hire a Purchasing Manager, for $85,000/year – $90,000/year, depending on experience. This is a great opportunity to join an established business, that values their employees, and is aggressively growing in their industry.
This Purchasing Manager must have experience in a distribution business. The Purchasing Manager must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, work closely with the Sales team, respond to customer orders, and fulfill the orders. The Purchasing Manager will enter purchase orders and manage supplier performance. The Purchasing Manager will be strategic and will determine which supply bases are utilized. This Purchasing Manager must be an innate leader with empathy and have the ability to lead the others within the organization.
Required Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of purchasing experience within a distribution setting
- Supply Chain Management Experience
- Ability to Effectively Manage Time and Meet Deadlines
- Strong Oral and Written Communication Skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Purchasing Software
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Related Field
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a Distribution industry
