Summary:
Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in Packaging department (Finished Goods production Packing).
Primary Responsibilities:
- Inspects product to verify conformance to specifications and directs setup & adjustments of machines
- Monitors productions schedule and estimates worker hour requirement for job completion.
- Implement department and company policies & procedures.
- Adheres to safety requirements
- Conducts department meetings on a daily basis, documents topics
- Assigns work to employees based on procedures & specifications.
- Distributes and monitors rotation sheets, by department.
- Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product and EBIT drivers.
- Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, work crew and foster employee empowerment.
- Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
- Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
- Assist in maintaining time and production records.
- Investigates employee issues immediately, and recommends resolutions.
- Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Microsoft Office, Outlook Computer skills
