Full-Time Procurement & Contracts Manager (12 months Fixed Term)
Job Description
We have a fantastic opportunity to join our team as Procurement & Contracts Manager on a fixed-term contract basis. In this diverse role, you will act as Subject Matter Expert for Procurement Contracts across a variety of product and service categories. You will develop and implement strategic directions for supplier performance, protect and create value through the effective management of contract relationships and robust due diligence.
What will you be doing?
- Drive smart procurement decisions and deliver the procurement strategy, identifying opportunities for procurement improvement, contract consolidation and cost optimisation/reduction.
- Working closely with our Legal Department to establish best practice for managing contracts, leading supplier contract management throughout the full end to end lifecycle of the contract.
- Negotiate rates and terms and conditions with suppliers, achieving best value for money and service levels across all spend activity.
- Ensure that all suppliers deliver their contractual commitments to their commercial agreements.
- Drive commercial and operational KPIs, reporting on cost savings and avoidance, and operational risk management.
- Strive to achieve the highest degree of ethical and sustainable purchasing. ·
- Champion our LFC visions and values and promote professional procurement standards and behaviours across the Club to secure best value services.
- Lead procurement projects, using a forward-looking approach to opportunities.
Who are we looking for?
To be successful you will have a minimum of 3-5 years procurement and contract management experience, delivering cost savings and service enhancements through established procurement best practice and tender processes. You will demonstrate a track record of successfully managing a category of contracts and spend at strategic level and experience of owning and managing a mixed portfolio of suppliers ‘end to end’.
You will have a strong understanding of the Procurement and Legal contractual requirements including Subcontracts management, proficiency in the use of contract frameworks, as well as P2P procurement related systems. You must have a good understanding of procurement demonstrating analytical and synthetic skills and should be Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply Qualification (MCIPS) qualified or educated to degree level in an associated field.
