Our PLC Controls Technician’s are member’s of the Maintenance team, and they report directly to the Maintenance Supervisor.

What you bring:
Experience utilizing PLC’s as a troubleshooting tool in an industrial environment.
The ability to write and modify PLC programs
Previous experience modifying and developing simple HMI screens for industrial control applications, and installing, programming and troubleshooting VFD devices, servo drives, and other motor control systems.
The ability to install, calibrate and troubleshoot all types of instrumentation to include flow meters, level transmitters, temperature transmitters, and pressure transmitters.
Electrical and blueprint reading skills.
Previous use of typical electrical instruments such as volt meters, oscilloscopes, calibrations signal generation devices, and decade boxes.
The ability to understand and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems and power distribution systems and high voltage switch gear.
Proficiency in the latest Arc Flash regulatory requirements is required.
What you will be doing:
The goal for the department is to achieve less than 1% production equipment down time. Maintain a clean, safe and efficient workplace without jeopardizing product quality or the environment. To efficiently and systematically solve machine related problems. Work takes place mainly while the plant is in production but will also include maintenance and equipment modification during down times. To help resolve any recurring PLC problems with a view to maximizing equipment availability time and efficiency, ensuring this is done within the guidelines of the OSHA Standards.
To provide electrical support to the production line so production can produce a high-quality finished product at the highest production rate
Respond to requests from production staff
Preventive and predictive maintenance
Complete all necessary paperwork, computer entry and reports
Investigate and resolve electrical problems
Provide electrical expertise to the operations department on processes, projects or where required
Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts
Operate machine tools such as lathes and grinders to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up of machinery
Basic Physical Requirements
Must be capable of performing the following with effective results and without personal injury:
The ability to lift 60 pounds
The ability to lift to 120 pounds with another person
The ability to shovel heavy waste to shoulder height
The ability to use sharp objects in a safe manner
Ability to wear protective + safety equipment
Must be able to work in high temperatures, in excess of 100 degrees Fahrenheit for several hours during the day.
