Job Description
Position Summary
In this position you will be able assess competitive intelligence, market trends and gain a deep understanding of Pershing’s business model to support the development of our strategy in line with the firm’s vision and purpose. You wil be able to develop and manage a process to articulate the firm’s strategy to internal and external audiences.
Job Responsibilities
- Support the process of developing the firm’s purpose and vision into Pershing’s strategy by leveraging an understanding of the market trends, competitive landscape and client needs
- Translate the strategy into written and verbal communications for a variety of audiences (board of directors, shareholders, employees, regulators and clients)
- Monitor and analyze industry trends and market changes impacting the asset and wealth management industry
- Develop competitive intelligence on broad scope of personas in the asset and wealth management industry
- Manage the Voice of the Client function which will drive primary research on client needs
- Engage closely with senior leadership to cascade key strategic initiatives across the organization
- Create briefings for Firm management meetings with investor relations audiences
- Develop frameworks and quantitative models to evaluate and analyze strategic hypotheses
Qualifications
- 10 + years experience at a business consulting firm, corporate strategy function or investor relations unit within a financial services organization
- Deep knowledge of asset and wealth management industry, the key personas and client segments
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and networking skills with a variety of personalities and positions
- Ability to convert complex financial information into understandable content
- Ability to distil complex concepts in simple, practical terms
- Experience in market research and data analysis
- Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude and ability to structure analyses
- Comfortable dealing with ambiguity
- High attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- BSc/BA in Business Administration, Finance or Mathematical field
