Job Description

“This role is currently work-from-home and will move to the office environment after the COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.”

Position supports the function of Field Medical working both within the Oncology therapeutic area(s) and with impact across the function of Field Medical to support the safe and appropriate use of Client medicines.

Responsibilities include:
• Provide assistance in development, planning and execution of the field medical strategy and communication plans to drive superior performance and customer experience for Oncology Field Medical function in strong collaboration with US Field Medical Oncology Leadership Team, including the Head of US Field Medical
• Actively collaborates with FM Strategy, Field Medical Communication Specialists (FMCS), and FM Leadership team to develop quarterly performance scorecards, training and communications strategy
• Ability to handle multiple project work streams and initiatives aligned with the Field Medical Plan to support delivery of impactful HCP interactions.
• Develop stakeholder communications utilizing various systems to generate reports on Field Medical activities (both qualitative and quantitative) and execution of strategies.
• Provides project management support for Oncology Field Medical materials, training, systems (Interact, Tableau, MEDsights, and other platforms) and communication topics
• Contributes towards defining Oncology FM strategies and objectives and developing short and long-term plans for the capability
• Identify, align and leverage resources and solutions across R&D, Commercial and Medical to support Oncology FM objectives
• Supports FM Strategy in working with Legal and Compliance for advice and approvals on field medical activities where needed
• Demonstrates knowledge of approved and investigational products within the therapeutic area(s) and is able to apply that understanding to all related activities
• Applies innovative approaches and technologies to deliver project needs
• Assist with congress attendance tracking for US Field Medical
• Support FM Strategy with Medical Market Research projects; implement improvements and changes
• Liaise with appropriate stakeholders to ensure state licensing and credentialing compliance for US FM Oncology teams
• Manages materials repository related to content organization, placement and maintenance of materials through Sharepoint and the Veeva Platform (MedExchange).
• Perform ad-hoc tasks to support FM Strategy and FM Leadership team

Required Experience:
• Advanced medical degree in scientific area (i.e.: MD, PhD, PharmD) or project management preferred
• Strong operational excellence in driving project deadlines and deliverables.
• Highly motivated and organized individual possessing excellent communication (verbal & written), presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to effectively perform with shifting priorities, decide and act without having the total picture, adaptable, flexible, and comfortable with uncertainty
• Advanced proficiency in using standard business applications including email, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc. and ability to interface with new systems and technologies (InterAct/Salesforce, MEDsights, etc)

Knowledge Desired:
• A minimum of 1-2 years working in a clinical or pharmaceutical environment
• Ability to quickly and comprehensively learn about new subject areas and environment
• Disease area knowledge and an understanding of scientific communications preferred
• Knowledge of Oncology treatment landscape preferred
• Knowledge of the national healthcare and access environment preferred
• Travel may be required
