We are looking for a talented OBD On-Vehicle Compliance Testing – Senior Engineer to join our team specializing in Engineering Function for our Corporate Organization in Columbus, IN.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• Collaborate with technicians for solving PVE DTC test issues and lead the resolution process
• Lead data analysis of PVE log files to ensure high quality results and stay compliant
• Work with diagnostic tuners and OBD leads to report test updates and findings
• Support MY24 regulatory requirements associated with OBD Demonstration diagnostics for both On-Highway HDOBD and OBD2 products
• Lead the regulatory and internal data collection requirements for J3162 HDOBD IUMPR dynamic testing
• Support PVE work for MY24 VPI programs. This includes creating PVE test procedures and validating failed parts
• Procure engineering test vehicles from multiple resources within Cummins
• On-Board Diagnostic (OBD) knowledge is a plus
• Basic familiarity with MATLAB and Simulink
• Self-motivated, highly organized, and proactive

REQUIRED SKILLS:
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
• College, university, or equivalent Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other relevant technical disciplines is required.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
• Prior entry level engineering equivalent work experience in a relevant discipline area is required. Knowledge of MS Office tools is preferred
• The engineer position will join OBD Production Vehicle Evaluation (PVE) team and will be supporting technicians in PVE Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) testing. PVE DTC is a compliance and internal requirements to ensure the diagnostic can detect an installed failed part in the vehicle and reports the correct fault code information. The position is part of a team of engineers and technicians located at CMIC facility.

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
