Full-Time Nurse-Family Partnership Supervisor – Public Health (Part-Time)

Job Description

Job Summary

Family Partnership offers home visitation services to both primiparous and multiparous parents. The Program Coordinator II (PCII) provides nurse supervision for the home visiting program and works within the local community and the health department structure to assure that NFP is implemented in accordance with established National Service Office guidelines and grant contract requirements. The PCII uses principles of supervision, reflective practice, and staff development to provide primary support and oversight to the nurse home visiting staff to build and model a strengths-based, client-centered culture.

 

Qualifications

Knowledge of:

 

  • The principles and practices of public sector organization and program operations
  • Project management, including planning, scheduling, monitoring, and problem solving
  • Methods and procedures of budget development and justification
  • Application and interpretation of County, state and federal laws and regulations relevant to the program area
  • Program analysis and evaluation
  • Policy and procedure development public information
  • Public Health research methods and techniques
  • Trends and practices within the specialized public health area
  • The impact of race (institutional/systemic racism), ethnicity, nationality, socioeconomic status, religion, economic class, education, age, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, mental and physical ability and learning styles on behavior, attitudes, and values related to health

 

Ability to:

 

  • Effectively plan, direct, and delegate program components
  • Assign, supervise and evaluate the work of staff
  • Delegate responsibility and authority to carry out policy directives of the governing authority in an effective and timely manner
  • Write clear and concise reports, memoranda, and letters
  • Analyze problems, identify alternative solutions, project consequences of proposed actions, and formulate recommendations
  • Interpret and explain policies, procedures, laws, and regulations
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public, other governmental jurisdictions, contractors, and other County staff
  • Model healthy professional boundaries with peers, direct reports, and clients

Salary Grade: M2.820 ($5,750.00 – $8,124.00) per month
