Job Type: Full-time

Location: Remote in Northeastern US, preferably within driving distance to New York City

Position Description The Northeastern U.S. Partnerships Manager will own the Northeast territory and is responsible for building relationships with K12 senior-level decision-makers to our research-based programming, which includes packages of professional development for teachers and capacity-building workshops for families, and our award-winning Family Playlists®️ product. This position reports to the Chief Growth Officer. We are seeking candidates with repeated, proven track records in sales who love to win.

 

This position will focus 30% of time in New York City and 70% on states in the northeastern United States, including: New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Maine.

 

This is a remote role with up to 70% travel. Note: This may be significantly reduced due to COVID-19 safety precautions and restrictions for in-person meetings by education institutions and PowerMyLearning’s travel policy.

 

Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Manage New York City and U.S. Northeastern territory and build relationships to meet or exceed annual revenue quota
  • Become well-versed in territory’s funding, state initiatives, demographics, and K-12 education landscape to inform overall sales strategy
  • Generate and close new sales opportunities through outbound prospecting efforts
  • Engage and close inbound sales leads by discovering their needs, communicating our value proposition, nurturing the relationships, leading sales conversations/presentations, and preparing proposals
  • Generate and close new sales opportunities through outbound prospecting efforts
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Team on developing national and regional campaigns
  • Deliver and/or support webinars that provide an overview of PowerMyLearning products and services to K12 decision-makers
  • Identify product improvements by remaining current on industry trends, listening to customers, and competitors
  • Provide conference/event support and attend local, state, and national conferences alongside CGO, other sales team members, and program team members
  • Prepare reports through collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information to inform strategy and activities
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Product Development, and Implementation teams to drive a positive customer experience

 

Qualifications

  • Passion for PowerMyLearning’s mission and commitment to living PowerMyLearning’s values: strengthening relationships, advancing equity, embracing learning, and embodying humility
  • Proven K-12 sales experience with 5+ years hitting or exceeding the quota of selling professional development and digital education solutions to senior-level decision-makers
  • Demonstrated expertise in selling at the school and district levels and closing complex sales that require navigating multiple decision-makers
  • Proven experience building business in new territories
  • Excellent verbal, written, and communications skills
  • Demonstrated experience in taking a strategic and consultative approach to sales
  • Demonstrated experience in effectively using Salesforce or another CRM to track and inform sales activities
  • Proactive in new learning including growing in professional practice and engaging in continuous reflection and improvement
  • Preferred: Experience in using marketing automation software to support sales activities, such as HubSpot
