Job Description

We are looking for a talented New Product Reliability Engineer to join our team specializing in New/Current Product Quality for our Engine Business Unit in Columbus, IN/ home office. (Hybrid)

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• Leads critical reliability activities within new product development to meet customer and business reliability expectations.
• Responsible for keeping the voice of quality in front of the program technical and core teams and will work closely with the platform quality leader and the program’s technical team to identify and eliminate risks and issues at a program level.
• Will develop and/or champion a process or tool that is central to group success, working to make the entire team more capable and effective.
• Uses systems knowledge and expertise to make decisions in the areas of product problem prevention, detection and correction that impact overall new product reliability and program resource plans and timing.
• Creates, manages, improves, and applies processes such as quantitative reliability analysis and failure reporting and corrective action systems and tools required to support the processes and enable high quality decision making.
• Leads the development and improvement of work processes and systems across function(s) within a global business unit or managing improvement across business units.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other relevant discipline
• 5 or more years of experience in Quality, Reliability, or Supplier Quality
• Prior experience working with new products preferred
• Strong knowledge of rigorous process-based problem solving is desired

Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
