ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Must be able to operate fabricating machines including, drill presses, grinders and manual benders.
  • Assemble metal bimini top frames and kayak seats using handheld drills and air riveters.
  • Must maintain quality assurance standards.
  • Must be able to follow detailed assembly instructions, processes and procedures.
  • Must be able to assist with loading trucks.
  • Boxing of fully assembled and ups-able bimini tops.
  • Must be able to work in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • General housekeeping by keeping area clean and organized.
  • Anything else deemed necessary.

 

  • Level 1 Team Member: Must be able to operate automated benders and assist in assembly and packaging of orders. Will be able to pull stock and package stock orders. Must be able to pass a Forklift Certification Exam.

 

  • Level 2 Team Member: Must be able to read cut sheets and use utilize all saws. Must be able to set up the machines and make machine adjustments. Responsible for problem solving any complications with saws. Monitor machine condition and communicate with Supervisor on machine problems. Must be able to follow process to turn saws on & off. Responsible for keeping saws running at a high level of continuous production to eliminate unnecessary down time.

 

  • Level 3 Team Member/Floater: A level 3 team member must be able to perform all functions of Level 1 and 2 and additionally be able to float between the Metal Department and the Shipping Department. Must be able to build hardware packs, and truck tops and package support poles and UPS tops. Must be able to unload and roll covers.

 

  • Metal Department Lead: Must have basic knowledge of all job functions within the department and be able to assist in all areas as needed. Must be able to train others on how to use all machines and tools and in all assembly procedures. The lead will receive daily work instructions from the Supervisor, prepare the work area in accordance with work orders and direct others as to what is next. Communicate with Supervisor to assist with problem solving and offer suggestions for continuous improvement. Responsible for knowing the location of all items within the department and can assist with locating them. Must fill in for Supervisor at meetings as needed. Must be able to assist with inventory. Will assist manager in handling all daily personnel issues.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Knowledge in the proper use of power equipment and basic hand tools.
  • Must be able to understand simple written English instructions.
  • Bilingual a plus.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively.

PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE:

Manufacturing experience a plus, but not required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have 20/20 vision or correction to 20/20.
  • Must be able to stand entire shift.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds without assistance.
  • Must be able to work in moderate noise levels.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have manual dexterity.
  • Must have full range of motion, including but not limited to, standing, bending, walking, twisting, grasping and reaching as necessary to complete the job assigned.
