CHELCO, a not-for-profit electric cooperative, seeks two Member Services Representatives to support any one of CHELCO’s five area offices.

CHELCO is located in Northwest, Florida. The area offers outstanding recreational, cultural, and educational opportunities.  CHELCO serves 56,00 members and 59,697 active accounts, primarily serving two counties from the Alabama state line to the Emerald Coast beaches on the Gulf of Mexico in the panhandle of Florida. As a Member Services Representative, you would help our members both in person and on the phone.  You would use established guidelines and policies to exceed member expectations. You would help keep member accounts updated in databases and route service orders. You would also share information on cooperative programs and services that benefit our members. Minimum Requirements: A high school diploma or equivalent is required and at least one year of customer service experience.

  • Must have excellent customer service skills and be service-oriented.
  • Must have good problem solving and active listening skills.
  • Must have basic computer skills and be comfortable with programs similar to  Microsoft Office and internet applications.
  • Ability to discuss and communicate billing information.
  • Must be able to utilize math skills to count currency.
  • Cash handling/drawer balancing experience preferred.
