Position Summary
The Marketing, Communications & Events Coordinator will play a key role in telling KCLT’s story, engaging community members, and supporting donor stewardship. This position develops and implements communications across digital and print platforms, coordinates outreach and fundraising events, and provides support to strengthen relationships with donors and partners. Reporting directly to the Director of Development, the Coordinator will collaborate with staff and board to ensure KCLT’s mission and impact are shared widely and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing & Communications
- Create and manage engaging content for social media (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) to highlight KCLT’s homes, programs, and community impact.
- Maintain and update the KCLT website with current project news, resources, and stories.
- Write and share homeowner and community stories to demonstrate mission impact.
- Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all platforms and materials.
- Oversee design and vendor contract management of print and digital materials, including ads, impact report, appeals, and newsletters.
- Support the creation of short form videos for use in marketing and fundraising.
Donor Stewardship & Development Support
- Support the Director of Development in implementing donor stewardship strategies, including thank-you letters, impact reports, and personalized donor communications.
- Assist with annual giving campaigns, donor events, and fundraising appeals.
- Maintain donor recognition systems and communications that strengthen long-term relationships.
Events & Community Engagement
- Coordinate logistics for fundraising events, community meetings, open houses, and tabling opportunities.
- Promote events through email, social media, press, and community calendars.
- Support volunteer coordination and day-of event logistics.
- Ensure events are welcoming, accessible, and aligned with KCLT’s mission.
Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience in ethical storytelling preferred.
- Experience with social media platforms, email marketing (e.g., MailChimp/Constant Contact), and basic design tools (Canva, Adobe, or similar).
- Event coordination or project management experience preferred.
- Familiarity with donor communications or fundraising support is a plus.
- Website management experience (Squarespace) required.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.

Compensation & Benefits
- $23-27/ hour, depending on experience
