Location: 22 Adelaide Street West, Toronto (currently working remotely but will need to commute to the office when it reopens)

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Marketing & Publicity Associate, Children’s Books, the Marketing Assistant position will be a key member of the Marketing team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing general assistance to the marketing team with a focus on assisting the marketing list managers on title-specific advertising, group campaigns and traditional marketing.

Duties and Responsibilities:
· Assists with all marketing efforts (30%)
o Contributes to social media channels
o Participates in YA and Middle Grade marketing planning

· Works with Marketing leaders to assist with adult and kids marketing (50%)
o Executes digital advertising
o Researches and seek out POS
o Manages ARC ordering and distribution
o Creates content for ‘reader-targeted’ social media sites (ie: Sprout)

· Builds marketing grids and PowerPoints (5%)
· Provides general assistance to the Marketing department (15%)

Qualifications:
· 1-2 Years of Publishing or Marketing experience an asset
· Proficiency with major social media platforms
· Experience with digital advertising and data an asset
· High degree of written and verbal communication skills
· Proficiency with Powerpoint, Adobe and Excel
· Excellent organizational and communication skills and ability to multi-task
· Post secondary education with a focus in any of the following: sales, marketing, publicity, communications, business and literature
