Freelance Marketing and Communications Consultant
Job Description
Alluma is seeking an early to mid-career nonprofit marketing and communications contractor to help us craft community education campaigns, develop partner marketing materials to promote our services, design and implement Adwords and other online promotion campaigns. This contractor will work with our lead designer, product team, community success team and business development team to develop outreach and engagement plans for our community and partners that further our impact and development goals.

This is a part time contract engagement averaging 20 hours per week. This role is remote friendly however some understanding of the geography and demographics of the Bay Area, Los Angeles or New York City would be preferred. Contractors from non-traditional backgrounds are welcomed.
Scope of Work:
- Collaboratively develop and implement a Google Adwords campaign plan to grow traffic to our 1degree.org product.
- Co-create a community marketing campaign with content and graphics (via our designer) to inform our communities of the new features and opportunities on our 1degree.org platform.
- Develop an SEO strategy for the 1degree.org platform.
- Lead or provide support to our product and engineering team in implementing the SEO plan.
- Develop and maintain communications calendar
- Execute ongoing communications tactics to promote 1degree.org platform and incorporate user stories about our impact (in partnership with our UX designer) that helps grow our funding and sales pipeline via:
- Community-facing email campaigns
- Funder and client-facing monthly newsletters
- Media outreach
- Social media (corporate facing, such as Linkedin, Twitter)
- Setting up occasional virtual events and webinars
- Develop print and virtual collateral materials (such as sales materials, leave behinds, pitch decks, and social media images)
- Support Annual Impact Report project and other funder-facing comms projects
- Report on communications metrics
Salary: $50-$70/hour, 24-30 hours a week
