This is an exciting opportunity in Rocky Mount, NC for a Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

 

 

 

Your impact will happen in these and other ways:

 

* Manages the activities for a department including budgeting, resource planning, project management activities, and peer reviews for the purchase, and implementation of manufacturing integrated equipment, systems, and processes.

* Manages, coaches, and develops direct and indirect team members. Leads the process of working with outside suppliers.

* Manages personnel in the Manufacturing Engineering Function related to departmental activities and performance standards.

* Leads the development of departmental plans and deliverables.

* Provides technical consultation, leadership, and advice to managers, manufacturing personnel and other functions.

* Coaches and motivates direct and indirect team members, delegates work assignments, and leads change.

* Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement initiatives including capital, daily operations, and organization structure.

* Provides technical inputs and direction for Manufacturing.

* Leads the communications with all stakeholders.

* Must have weekend flexibility

Manufacturing Business Model Application – Demonstrates capability in organizing and improving the steps of how workflow should occur by using the current documented Cummins processes and key practices used to drive improvements within the business to show a common framework for manufacturing functional excellence within the company.

 

 

 

Has actively supported VPI and future Transformation projects.

 

Education, Licenses, Certifications

 

Bachelor’s degree or higher, required.

 

 

 

Experience

 

– Significant level of relevant work experience, including supervisory and leadership experience, required.

 

– Coaches and Guides the team in Operation Excellence tools and ensures accountability on team performance to those standards.

 

 

 

Compensation and Benefits

 

Base Salary commensurate with experience. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.
