OVERVIEW
The Change Collective seeks a Program Operations Manager to lead local and national programming project management and event operations.
The Program Operations Manager is responsible for managing operational needs related to programmatic implementation, event planning for in-person and online convenings, budget and finance tracking, resource-bank creation, and partnership management tracking. Overall, the role requires an entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to determine continuous ways to streamline processes and build systems to save costs, generate revenue, and increase impact.
The Change Collective team is looking to add a teammate who is a servant-leader, a culture-builder and is committed to the mission of building a national network of local leaders to address social isolation, political polarization, and civic disengagement.

Housed in Civic Nation, the Change Collective is a national network for rising local leaders passionate about solving issues in their communities and combating social isolation, political polarization, and civic disengagement.
The Change Collective’s vision is to reinvent civic life for the 21st century by investing in and supporting the next generation of emerging leaders who are bridging divides and driving change in their communities. Members of the Change Collective will have access to training opportunities, leadership development, and a wide network of leaders both locally and nationally.
Since launching in 2023, the Change Collective has trained, connected, and elevated over 240 civic leaders across five cities: Chicago, IL; Detroit, MI; Jackson, MS; Memphis, TN; and San Antonio, TX. In 2025, the program plans to expand to new communities.

YOUR IMPACT
- Manage operational needs related to programmatic implementation, in-person and online convening needs, budget and finance tracking, and partnership management tracking.
- Oversee operational management of all program needs, including securing venues, booking staff and participant travel logistics, organizing food and beverage delivery, and handling inventory and other materials.
- Liaise and coordinate with the Civic Nation Operations and Finance teams.
- Serve as project management lead for team operations such as, but not limited to setting meeting agendas, crystallizing action items and workflow, creating team calendars, building team-bonding activities, and providing administrative support to the executive director.
- Manage the platforms and process for recruitment and onboarding for new Cohort Members to read and vet applications and/or nominations, implement the interview and acceptance process, and manage communication with participants.
- Support the Learning Design team as needed, including curating resources and creating slide decks that support in-person and online learning experiences for Change Collective Members.
- Continuously update community partnership engagement tracker.
- Create and own the official program calendar and send event communication to Change Collective Members and other relevant stakeholders.
- Other duties as assigned and special projects as assigned.
YOUR EXPERIENCE
- 2+ years of demonstrated experience in project management, administrative and operations support.
- Relevant background in non-profit, education, corporate and/or civic engagement settings.
- Experience being the on-site point of contact for catering, location facilities, and staff for in-person events.
- Demonstrated experience managing systems and processes.
- Strong project management skills, including development of long-term project planning, and ability to project manage big digital and in-person events.

SALARY & BENEFITS
The Washington, DC-based salary range for this position is $61,000 – $66,000 (will be adjusted for cost of labor for the incumbent’s work location) annually, commensurate with experience.
