Full-Time Maintenance/Construction Technician III
Job Description
- Apply your knowledge of building codes and perform at the journey level in 2+ trades (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, masonry, or plastering).
- Work at other facilities across the region.
- Excellent knowledge of building codes.
- Working knowledge of the methods, practices, tools and materials used in general maintenance and repair of equipment and machinery.
- Working knowledge of the methods, principles, and techniques used in the maintenance including electrical, HVAC, carpentry, drywall, roofing, locks, windows, plumbing, and mechanical equipment.
- Experience supervising the work of skilled or semiskilled contractors.
- Demonstrated ability to read blueprints and estimate repair costs.
- Computer experience preparing and maintaining routine records and reports.
- Unscheduled overtime may be required during building emergencies.
- This position is subject to emergency call backs to assist with building emergencies after hours and on weekends/holidays.
- You will need to work during bad weather conditions (e.g., snow/ice storms).
- We may require you to become certified by the Environmental Protection Agency as a Type I, II, III or Universal technician.
- High School/GED Diploma, and
- 2+ years of relevant experience in complex mechanical or building trades, and
- 2+ years experience at the journey level associated with 2+ trades; or
- An equivalent combination of training and experience.
