Full-Time Machining Director of Operations
Job Description
We are looking for a talented Machining Director of Operations to join our engine business manufacturing plant based in Jamestown, NY.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
* Provides manufacturing leadership and improvement focus in operations driving results, creating and monitoring measures, providing motivation, and setting expectations in safety, quality, delivery and cost.
* Manages, develops, mentors, and coaches individual and collective talent to develop manufacturing and supply chain capability across the organization.
* Champions continuous improvement projects that align with Cummins Operation.
* Partners with internal and external functional stakeholders to maintain relationships to meet all customer and business requirements.
* Reviews key performance indicators and operational trends to validate root cause analysis and corrective action plans.
* Responsible for ensuring Cummins values are present in the plant; this includes championing diversity, community involvement, and right environment initiatives.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
* College, university, or equivalent degree in Engineering or related field required.
* Minimum 10 years of experience in an engineering role in a highly complex heavy manufacturing environment.
* Minimum five years in a plant manufacturing operations leadership role.
* Experience in various manufacturing processes with preference for CNC machining, production line, engineering.
* Proven success in leading, mentoring, and developing teams.
