(G2) is on the lookout for a motivated and detail-oriented Logistics Management Specialist to assist the DoD Program Office in managing a capability project portfolio in support of a vital DoD program. Your Role and Responsibilities:
- Support various projects to include performing professional or technical logistics work
- Support, coordinate and manage Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) products and services
- Support ILS acquisition and technical tasks required to provide ILS requirements for the design, development, integration, implementation and evolution of programs and initiatives
- Coordinate with Department of Defense platforms to validate ILS requirements and implement plans to meet requirements
- Conduct supportability studies, reliability and maintainability analyses, assessments and remedial actions for assigned systems
- Collaborate and coordinate with a cross-matrix organization to ensure contracts and deliverables are adequately reviewed from a total logistics perspective
- Translate requirements to specifications
- Assist program personnel with “total system” logistics planning and timely implementation of support for all system installations
- Gather technical information, calculate, analyze data and present logistics metrics for vendor’s and field Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability data via Microsoft products
- Prepare and attend conferences involving program/project analysis
- Track squadron deployments and aircraft deliveries to ensure timely deliveries of products as required
- Plan, coordinate, and administer key meetings such as IPTs, Integrated Logistics Support Management Teams, and other logistics management and technical meetings
- Prepare detailed meeting minutes for senior leadership and track action items for internal and external meetings and conferences
What You’ll Need:
- Associate degree from an accredited college or two (2) years of college credits from an accredited four-year college or university, or a High School Diploma with at least ten (8) years of relevant military logistics experience; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum eight (8) years of experience in managing logistics programs with a minimum of 5 out of the 10 Logistics Elements or combined twelve years of experience in two or more of the following areas: program execution oversight; analytical and problem solving related to logistical issues: software defined radio or similar
- Understanding of reliability, maintainability, and logistics requirements documented in U.S. Code Title 10, DoDI 5000.02, DoDD 5000.01, and NAVINST 5000.2.
- US Citizenship and either currently hold or have the ability to obtain Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university
- Defense Acquisition University Level III or equivalent certifications
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
- Experience in supporting Department of the Navy, Air Force or Army projects to include performing professional or technical logistics work
- Experience conducting supportability studies, reliability and maintainability analyses, assessments, and remedial actions for assigned systems
- Experience tracking squadron deployments and aircraft deliveries to ensure deliveries of products as required
- Experience in assessing and presenting production issues and challenges, as well as identifying and recommending solutions to leadership
- Experience supporting the development and review of integrated logistics planning documents
- Ability to contribute to coordinating, writing, reviewing, and updating logistics relevant information
- Experience assessing adherence to “focused logistics” requirements for rapid crisis response, tracking and shifting assets in route, and “tailored” logistics support package
- Experience evaluating ILS impacts in CM documentation and engineering change proposals
- Experience assisting efforts to manage and provide oversight of Support Equipment development
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to navigate each department at the assigned facility.
Location:
This is a full-time hybrid position based in San Diego, CA. You’ll enjoy the flexibility of working from home while also engaging with the team in person at the client office three times a week, with occasional additional days as needed. Travel <10%.
Compensation and Benefits:
The compensation range for this position in California is $100,000/year to $160,000/year. however, G2 offers competitive compensation within a range based on your expertise, market location conditions, and government contract specifics. Our benefits package includes a full range of medical coverage, a 401k plan, and an Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP), and other benefits dependent on the position offered, ensuring you are well-rewarded for your contributions. Base compensation information is based on market location.
