Loan Operations Wire Processing Admin.
Locations: Oriskany, NY or Pittsburgh, PA
Day Shift Work Hours: M-F, 8am to 7pm multiple shifts – extra time as needed.
The main responsibility of a processing admin is to perform data entry of loan and loan related instructions into the various systems used by the Loan Ops department. An ideal processing admin should be capable of accurate and timely entry of loan and loan related instructions, with good organizational and time management skills. A processing admin will be expected to manage risk by identifying and preventing errors on financial and data entry processing so not to put the Bank at risk of financial or reputational harm. A processing admin will be required to prioritize work to ensure deadlines can be achieved.
Job Description:
- Client Processing – Provides quality client service and support to internal clients and occasionally external clients on a daily basis, including phone interaction, problem resolution and account transaction processing in a timely manner.
- Under direct supervision, performs routine operational tasks in a product or functional area, processing updates to client accounts or company records and ensuring that data is feeding into the right system.
- Enters data, keying information from checks, interpreting payee information and transcribing into on-line system.
- May interact with record keepers to verify that client records are in sync with the fund company or another custodian.
- Executes all correspondent requisites in a timely and accurate manner with an understanding of the underlying business and specific client needs. Responds to client inquiries, escalating non-standard issues to a Team Lead.
- May communicate with an external third party to research inquiries. Investigates and corrects errors in company records and client accounts.
- Accurately opens and updates accounts or company records.
- Works closely with technology and systems teams to ensure the system is efficient and incorporates any necessary risk mitigations.
- Provides product knowledge, market nuances and requirements and technical assistance, as necessary.
- Responsible for the quality and completion of own work.
Responsibilities:
- Daily responsibilities can include but are not limited to:
- Data entry of loan instruction based on source instructions
- Data entry of financial movement transactions based on source instructions
- Semi-blind verification of funds movement transactions
- Review against source instructions for automated loan processing activity
- Managing risk by identifying/preventing errors in processing, both self-created, and peer-created
- Creating and maintaining proof of daily processing for audit purposes
- Create, review, deliver reports as necessary
- Monitoring various accounts for payment activity
- Collaborate with peers, management, internal/external clients
- Cross-train peers when requested.
Qualifications –
High school/secondary school or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. 2-3 years of total work experience preferred. Experience in financial & brokerage processing preferred.
Prefer : Extensive knowledge of Excel.
