Job Description

Loan Administrator

Full/Part Time:  Full Time

Location: Oriskany, NY and Pittsburgh, PA

Customary Work Schedule/Standard Hours:  Monday – Friday, 9:30am – 6:30pm

 

Responsibilities:

 ·      Timely and accurate data entry of detailed loan transactions into the loan system of record.

·       Gain a thorough understanding of the workings of syndicated loans and overall loan process.

·       Ensure that asset balances are current, accurate and up to date by the end of each day.

·       Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of detailed loan structures – a participated/syndicated loan may consist of several loans with different maturity dates, term or revolving, etc.

·      Quality check work to ensure the highest level of accuracy.

·      Clear outstanding items on tickler and exception reports for assigned loans/accounts.

·      Research and reconcile syndicated loans principal and interest

discrepancies between BNY Mellon and Agent Bank.

·      Track and clear payments as well as loan history from other financial institutions.

·      Cross training and other duties as assigned.

  

Business Skills:  

·      Familiar with working on a PC. Comfortable with learning new PC applications/software.

·      Accounting background; experience with transactions or loan processing is a plus.

·      Ten-key by touch.

·      Good attention to details.

·      Good customer service skills.

·      Good organization and communication skills.

·      Must be able to work overtime – seasonal w/quarter end or new business.

·      Ability to work in a stressful work environment with attention to meeting deadlines

·       Proven work ethic and high energy level.

·      Demonstrate initiative and pride in work.

·      Excellent team player.

·      Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with various employee levels, including peers.

 

Qualifications

·      High school/secondary school or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Bachelor degree preferred. 2-3 years of total work experience preferred. Experience in financial & brokerage processing preferred.
