Full-Time Legal Recruiting Coordinator
Job Description
Perkins Coie has an immediate opening for a Legal Recruiting Coordinator. This role coordinates law student and lateral associate recruiting, pre-arrival and integration activities for the firm. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding organization, communication and problem-solving skills, proficiency with multiple database applications, professionalism, initiative, and a customer service ethic.
Essential Functions:
Law Student Recruiting:
- Recommend interviewers, coordinate interview schedules, and compile and distribute interviewer evaluations for OCI callbacks and 1L recruiting.
- Maintain and update OCI materials; compile OCI interviewer binders.
- Maintain Applicant Tracking System and tracking spreadsheet for all OCI candidates.
- Assist with planning and executing summer program, including pre-arrival and orientation activities, event planning and administrative support for work allocation and evaluation process.
- Coordinate all pre-arrival logistics; send survey and all onboarding emails & documents to Summers associates.
- Handle all responsibilities related to Workday/on-boarding process; process first day paperwork.
- Schedule orientation sessions and compile orientation schedules.
- Update and maintain the annual Summer Associate Handbook and intranet pages.
- Coordinate communication regarding bar exam registration, bar review course registration, bar stipends or leaves, bar admission and relocation.
Lateral Recruiting/Hiring:
- Coordinate advertisement of open positions.
- Recommend interviewers, coordinate interview schedules, and compile and distribute interviewer evaluations.
- Coordinate all pre-arrival logistics; send all onboarding emails/documentation to new hire.
- Handle all responsibilities related to Workday/on-boarding process; process first day paperwork.
- Schedule orientation sessions and compile orientation schedules.
- Maintain Applicant Tracking System records and update as appropriate.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Create, update and maintain departmental process documents.
- Coordinating payment of placement fees & referral bonuses.
- Provide administrative support to the office hiring committee and summer program committee.
- Support development of appropriate budget for office recruiting efforts.
- Process and reconcile all payments including firm Visa, and other check requests/expenses.
Required Skills:
Outstanding organizational, communication and critical thinking skills are required. Ability to work with and handle of a great deal of confidential information. Incumbents should be discreet, have an excellent work ethic, work well under pressure, be a team player and pay close attention to detail. Incumbents should also be comfortable working closely with partners and associates at the firm.
Education & Experience:
Requires a bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
