As part of the growth and development of our Counselling provision, Abingdon & Witney College are looking for a highly motivated professional to join us in delivering our range of Counselling courses.
The purpose of the Lecturer in Counselling role is to deliver high quality and effective teaching, learning and assessment to Counselling students; our Programmes range from Level 1 to the CPCAB Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. You will also act as a Course Leader working with the Programme Lead for our Counselling provision ensuring that the quality of our provision is maintained at a high standard. You will also have the opportunity to work with the Head of Faculty and Programme Lead in planning and developing a new Level 5 Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling.
This is an exciting opportunity for the right person and to apply for this post you must be a qualified Counsellor to at least level 4/5 standard and currently in practice with 2 years counselling experience. You will also have a supervision qualification or 1 years’ experience of offering counselling supervision and a member of a UK professional counselling body (BACP), engaging in regular professional development in line with ethical guidelines of the professional organisation.
Although a teaching qualification is an advantage, training opportunities exist within the College and we can support you in gaining your Award in Education and Training Level 3 Qualification (AET), within your first year of joining the college.
