Stitch Fix’s Shopping engineering team is hiring a React specialist to join our growing team. We build full-stack software that enables clients to shop our various products & styles.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You’ll collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, data scientists & UX designers to build software that is delightful for our customers to use. You will be an influencer in our team on building better React components.
You’ll work in our team’s primary languages/frameworks – Ruby (Rails) & JavaScript (ReactJS) – by building new features & reviewing teammates’ code. You will be a source of advocacy for React technical investments that make our systems more resilient, and our developer experience more delightful.
You will have the opportunity to develop your non-technical skills by mentoring engineers on your team, leading projects your team is responsible for, and influencing the roadmap of our team. You’ll also participate in our team’s on-call rotation. You will also have the opportunity to be involved in engineering-wide initiatives that aim to improve our culture & developer experience.
You will use synchronous communication tools (video, Slack) and asynchronous tools (Google Docs, Github PR reviews) to collaborate with your distributed team. Four times per year, you’ll have the opportunity to travel to spend time with your team in person.

Have roughly 4+ years of professional programming experience.
Are comfortable working independently to build full-stack features with React
Might have experience with ecommerce or shopping carts
Might have experience with Rails, Postgres, Redis and/or RabbitMQ
