JOB FAMILY DESCRIPTION
The Jr. Cloud Developer will learn to enable cloud automation through development and scripting. Responsible for the analysis, development, modification, installation, testing and maintenance of AWS cloud systems and services.

GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Develops scripts and code for cloud automation.
* Assists in developing Black Knight’s cloud framework.
* Develops policy scripts to enforce and validate required corporate controls and configurations for cloud services.
* Leverages Infrastructure-, platform-, and software-as-a-service to deliver Black Knight solutions.
* Maintains scripts for cloud based frameworks.
* Utilizes industry standard automation and deployment tools.
* Modifies, installs and prepares technical documentation.
* Diagnoses, isolates and debugs software problems and performs problem resolution.
* Monitors systems capacity and performance.
* Performs other duties as required.

EDUCATIONAL GUIDELINES
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
* Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Shell, Node.js, and/or JavaScript highly desired
* Experience with Java, .NET or C++ a plus
* Possesses a general understanding of software development or automation scripting
* Experience building and supporting software applications or performing systems administration a plus
* Understanding of Linux or Windows operating systems
* Familiarity with cloud technologies such as AWS a plus
* Familiarity with industry standard automation and deployment tools a plus.
* Excellent analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills
* Ability to develop partnership-oriented relationships with business executives and functional leaders, especially as it relates to operations and technology
* Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment with focus on timeliness, documentation, and communications with peers and business users alike
* Experience with project management a plus
* Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels within Black Knight or outside the organization (executives, regulators, clients, etc.)
* Results oriented, business focused, and successful at interfacing across multiple organizational units

JOB FAMILY LEVEL
Entry-level role into the job family. Works on small to moderate projects in size and scope that require demonstrated skill in at least one technical environment. Functions under general direction of more senior programmers, supervisors or managers. Generally works on one project at a time as a project team member. Develops solutions requiring analysis and research. Typically requires up to three (3) years of experience in systems administration and programming.
